Cultural Experience By Far/Galat

By far the most cultural experience that I have several times over is going to the Galat Kosher Market on Santa Monica Blvd.

They barbeque kabob in the parking lot on Sunday.  The only time that I wanted shish kabob they weren't cooking.

Their roasted chicken looked scrumptous!  I will try it and share it with my friend Luis.

KINNARA

KINNARA IS AT 15355 Sherman Way , Van Nuys.6/6/13  I was taken by the atmosphere, it was different, a Thai culture tight within this restaurant.  It was pleasant, rich and comfortable in my booth.  The restaurant was packed and I studied the vast menu, to my delight.  It was mostly buisness people taking lunch, and talking about work. Boring!
KALBI BEEF OMG!  Their food is clean, beautifully presented in a lovely atmosphere to dine in, even though a little small.  I desire to go back...

LOS TAPATOS

11045 S. Hawthorne Blvd., it the city of Lennox.  Oh yes, a market with several items exists within a small space for a restaurant in a mini-mall.  A little bit tight of a squeeze inside the small space and it is cash only!  I love the large containers of watermelon juice, mango, Jamaica and horchata.  I also love the Ebola on top of the burrito.  Perfect blend of ingredients for a traditional burrito.  Come here time and time again.

West Los Angeles Farmers Market

M'Dears Bakery & Bistro

I think this little cute blue restaurant was on Florence Ave. off Manchester a bit.  It was recommended.  I sat in an old beaten up booth.  I ordered up the fried chicken wings, mashed potatoes and spinach.  I was so happy, it was delicious and satisfying through and through, still remember it years later.  I thought this blog was written.  The wings had an ample amount of meat of them.  And so delicious, a great light crispy batter.  I think it's New Orleans style cookin.  The light colored gravy added to the well constituted mashed potatoes.  I loved how they were served from a scooper, making a nice round ball of goodness.  The spinach was so good too and I got a lot of it, with slices of yellow pepper, which enhanced the flavor more than I would think.  I should remember that in my cooking.  She served cornbread on the side that was delicious with flavor and moist.  It's smallness should not be underestimated.  I went back on another occasion and was disappointed with my friend's salad, and what I ordered.  I will definitely go back for that fried chicken wing plate.  Yum!  Judge

CASA SANCHEZ

I love this restaurant.  It has a large table in the middle of the room with a stage.  There were small, private tables in the back and along the sides of the wall.  The staff was friendly, comfortable and hospitable.  Seems like I wrote this blog already.  Anyway, I have my photo to add.  It was a joyous night on my birthday, January 22, 2011.  I was at the height of my career and with my best friend.
We enjoyed a night of mariachis and great food, which I will describe.  I will have to edit this, but I remember the ceviche was great, and very fresh.  I had a traditional Mexican meal of enchiladas, rice and beans.    As you can see, the chips and salsa, pico de gallo and guacamole was spot on. I have wanted to return for great food or a celebration.
